Lianhua Yong-si's Job seeking with the True Buddha Sutra

Greetings to everyone! I am Lianhua Yong-si. I have been a Buddhist disciple for some time now, and I often participate in group practices at Lei Zang Temple in Hong Kong.

In late 2019, the economy in Hong Kong was declining and many companies were implementing cost-cutting measures, such as asking employees to take unpaid leave or laying off workers due to financial difficulties. Although I was fortunate to have a job, things weren’t going smoothly for me. On top of that, my work commitments prevented me from participating in group practices at Lei Zang Temple, which left me feeling quite disheartened.

I decided to recite the ‘High King Avalokitesvara Sutra‘ at home in the hope of finding a new job. Not long after, a relative of mine informed me that a company was hiring and suggested that I give it a try. However, before making any decisions, I sought guidance from a divination slip at Lei Zang Temple. The 18th slip I drew had an ominous message, warning that if I were to quit my current job, I would end up unemployed. Although I felt discouraged at first, I did not lose hope. As a disciple of Living Buddha Lian-sheng, who is also known as Padmakumara the Great Fortune Vajra, I believed that there must be a way to change my situation.

I returned home and began reciting the “True Buddha Sutra,” a powerful and profound scripture that is revealed by a true Vajra master with great transmission blessing power and resonance. A fellow disciple told me that they had also recited this sutra over a hundred times to pray for a job and succeeded. Encouraged by their experience, I started reciting the “True Buddha Sutra” on January 13th, praying for an ideal job.

After ten days of chanting practice and having just passed the 150 recitations mark, I received a call from another fellow disciple who informed me of a job opportunity and asked if I was interested. I was thrilled and immediately expressed my interest; I was scheduled for a meeting with the supervisor for the next day. During the meeting, I was told that while there may be some concerns about my qualifications not fully meeting the job requirements, they were willing to offer me a part-time position, subject to further approval from HR. Later that same day, the HR department scheduled an interview with me for January 31st.

During this time, I kept in mind the following passage from Grandmaster Living Buddha Lian-sheng’s article:

‘To “turn the luck around” refers not to external luck, but to “inner” luck… It all depends on our cultivation and practice of mind and heart. “If the mind can turn, luck can turn.”‘

As a true Buddhist practitioner, I realized that through the cultivation and practice of our mind and heart, we can overcome adverse external conditions and transform our inner luck. By focusing on our inner development, we become less swayed by external factors and are able to excel even in challenging situations.

During the Lunar New Year holiday, I spent most of my time reciting the “True Buddha Sutra” and praying for the blessing of an ideal job. Additionally, I sought guidance from Grandmaster and Golden Mother at Lei Zang Temple using the Jiaobei divination Moon discs, and the result was to recite the “True Buddha Sutra” another three hundred times. I continued my recitation at home until I reached over seven hundred times without any response. However, I didn’t give up and kept reciting. Finally, the company called to confirm the terms of a long-term contract and the start date with me! I am also able to participate in group practice and volunteer services at Lei Zang Temple in Hong Kong on Sundays.

Until now, I still recite the “True Buddha Sutra” daily and dedicate the merits to Grandmaster for his blessings. I pray for the early end of the COVID-19 pandemic and more. When I’m out and about, I also recite the “High King Avalokitesvara Sutra” with huge gratitude for the compassionate blessings from Grandmaster.
