Another student of mine, whose last name is Tang, lives in Australia. This student had a hole in his heart and often experienced chest pain. It was a condition that could not be treated medically, and his doctors suggested that he undergo surgery to correct it.

Tang, however, was very afraid to undergo surgery and so he decided to call out to Grandmaster for help by chanting earnestly every day the True Buddha Sutra and High King Avalokitesvara Sutra. 

One night he dreamt he saw Grandmaster coming to him, bringing him a new heart to replace the old one. Before leaving, Grandmaster stroked his chest several times.

When student Tang woke up, he felt a cool sensation in his chest and the usual pain was gone. He knew a miracle must have happened.

Similarly, when an echocardiogram was performed, the hole in his heart was gone! The doctors and staff at the hospital found it hard to believe.

(Actually, my own father has also experienced a miracle. He had been wheelchair bound for years. But suddenly one day he was able to stand up and start walking. Now, at eighty-four years of age, he can walk briskly again.)
